Recognizing that Internet privacy is an issue for organizations in the public and private sector, 1FORCE is addressing a critical need by providing custom solutions to address the dynamic needs of its customers.

IP addresses can be used used to determine true location and deliver content specifically written for that city, state or country. By geolocating a requester’s IP address, a site may manipulate or conceal the true content of the website. Similar to how marketing or search engines target advertising, a malicious site may target misinformation towards a request coming from a government or competitive commercial entity. Whether you are a government agency or a commercial company, the ability to anonymously research and gather information on the Internet has never been more important. 1FORCE’s fully customizable and secure solutions protect privacy by directing web browsing traffic to global exit points, thus never revealing the true identity and location while keeping the organization anonymous.

ATLANTA, GA / May 2, 2011 - Most security officials do not foresee the demise of the al Qaeda leader sparking an immediate flurry of terror strikes by his followers. Regardless, few doubt that radicals are eager and anxious to avenge the loss of bin Laden. Authorities believe extremists will carefully plot retaliatory action in due time to ensure attacks succeed and avoid the humiliation and fury of failure produced by rushing plans to execution. As law enforcement and intelligence agencies collect, monitor and analyze information in their efforts to detect al Qaeda’s next attack, companies need to realize the impact on their own operations. With the increase in security by governments throughout the world, al Qaeda will explore all means to strike back at the U.S. So what does this mean for the executives of companies and those individuals tasked with the safety and security of their employees? Security needs to be made a priority before weaknesses are identified and exploited.

International Travel

- Thousands of U.S. companies conduct business operations and activities throughout all regions of the world on a daily basis. These companies need to realize that the government’s role in security outside U.S. borders is primarily limited to intelligence gathering and military operations. Although always a concern, the safety and security of U.S. citizens working and traveling outside our borders is not a function of the federal government. The responsibility for protection lies on the shoulders of the companies that employ these individuals who travel the world. Companies must conduct due diligence to fully understand the risks and potential threats associated with the regions to which their employees travel and implement comprehensive policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of their employees.

Domestic Operations

– As we watch government and law enforcement agencies increase security at airports and other critical components of our national infrastructure, we must realize that our enemies are watching too. Although many sources downplay the capabilities of terrorist organizations such as al Qaeda, we cannot underestimate the resilience and ability of individuals and organizations determined to harm the U.S. As we secure our own infrastructure, they refine their strategy of how, when and where they will strike. The concern that our enemies will adapt their efforts to carry out attacks on targets different from previous efforts is always present. The attacks of 9/11 demonstrated a focus on targets that were both symbolic and immutable to the American people. Although the destruction of iconic hallmarks are powerful, the primary value to our enemies remains the loss of life; therefore, any large gathering represents a potential target. Whether these threats are corporate buildings, commuting centers or large social and cultural events, it is incumbent that we identify and fortify these areas against possible threats.

ATLANTA, GA March 31, 2011 – On March 27 members of 1FORCE participated in the 22nd annual Bataan Memorial Death March at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The race honors the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II, sacrificing their freedom, health and, in many cases, their very lives. Today, there are three living survivors, all of whom stood at the beginning and end of the Bataan Memorial Death March Marathon to shake hands with any and all. They must have, and deservedly so, heard “thank you” at least 40,000 times.

There are few races in this country as patriotic and memorable as this one. It is by most accounts the most challenging course in the world for those individuals who participate. The “March” covers a grueling 26.2 miles over some the most challenging terrain found anywhere. Doctors, nurses and other medical staff are present before, during and after the race to provide medical support as this is a rigorous and demanding event. Individuals and teams participate in either the 15.2 or the 26.2 mile course. Additionally, those who choose to participate in the heavy division carry a minimum of 35 pounds in their rucksacks/backpacks, which are weighed and verified at the finish line. Members of 1FORCE’s Special Operations Group completed the full 26.2 mile course in six hours and fifty two minutes while carrying 45 lbs. in each of their backpacks, The 1FORCE team participated in the event not only as an opportunity to pay tribute to the World War II heroes but also as part of the groups intense training program. Members of the 1FORCE Special Operations Group work throughout the world supporting governments and commercial organizations in a wide range of areas to include security and humanitarian activities.

History of Bataan: The Bataan Memorial Death March honors a special group of World War II heroes. These brave soldiers were responsible for the defense of the islands of Luzon, Corregidor and the harbor defense forts of the Philippines. The conditions they encountered and the aftermath of the battle were unique. They fought in a malaria-infested region, surviving on half or quarter rations with little or no medical help. They fought with outdated equipment and virtually no air power. On April 9, 1942, tens of thousands of American and Filipino soldiers were surrendered to Japanese forces. The Americans were Army, Army Air Corps, Navy and Marines. Set in White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, the Bataan Memorial Death March gathers military and civilians alike to pay homage to those American and Filipino prisoners of war, who were forced-marched 70 miles from Mariveles to San Fernando in 1942. Few survived the grueling march, which consisted of extreme brutality, starvation and dehydration. Those who survived faced the hardships of a prisoner of war camp. Others were wounded or killed when unmarked enemy ships transporting prisoners of war to Japan were sunk by U.S. air and naval forces.
